Company description::
OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- March 15, 2004 -- CJOH-TV has announced that it will host SlimeCon 2004, the second of two "You Can't Do That on Television" fan convention and cast reunions. Taking place July 16-18, 2002, this unique event will allow fans as well as cast and crew members to come together one final time in the same studios where the cult classic show began taping more than 20 years ago.

"We're ecstatic to be bringing SlimeCon back again," said SlimeCon coordinator Josh Yawn. "While the turnout in 2002 was huge, there were so many cast and crew members as well as fans who didn't get to make it for one reason or another. Plus, with 2004 marking the 25 year anniversary of the show, we thought it would only be right to do one final SlimeCon. We're going all out with YCDTOTV history making surprises. Every fan needs to be there, because if you miss it, there won't be another."

Essentially organized by the same planning team as SlimeCon 2002, SlimeCon 2004 still remains to be the only fan convention of its kind. Attendees will be given the unique opportunity to tour the facilities and sets where the show's magic was made for over a decade. Many cast and crew members have confirmed attendance and registration is under way. Admission to the three day event is only $40 USD/$60 CDN.

SlimeCon's three day event is packed with activities for every fan, including:

Guided studio tour, featuring original sets

Cast autographs and photo sessions

Cast commentary with question and answer opportunities

Memorabilia museum in the studio the show taped in

Slime raffle, where lucky winners get doused in the show's trademark slime

The top secret, history making "Project 131"

and more!

About "You Can't Do That on Television." Created by British-born Roger Price, and produced from 1979 to 1990 in the studios of CJOH-TV, YCDTOTV introduced kids to a wacky brand of in-your-face comedy featuring sketches, green slime, and locker jokes. Considered by many to be a kids' version of Rowan & Martin's Laugh In, the show was one of the driving forces behind the popularity of the American children's network Nickelodeon in its early years. The show produced its own line of shampoo, soap, a comic strip, and a spin-off series called Whatever Turns You On with Ruth Buzzi. More information about YCDTOTV can be found online at www.ycdtotv.com.

About SlimeCon. Conceived by Byron Smith in 2001, SlimeCon was the first official cast reunion and fan convention for YCDTOTV. With roughly 40 cast and crew members in attendance, including legendary Les Lye, and an array of fans from Canada and the United States, SlimeCon 2002 was highly successful. Once again in conjunction with CJOH-TV, SlimeCon 2004 will continue to rekindle memories of cast and crew members and fans alike in a way that no other event could. More information on both SlimeCon events can be found online at www.slimecon2004.com.

About CJOH-TV. Owned and operated by CTV Television Inc., CJOH-TV is the News and Entertainment Programming Leader in eastern Ontario and western Quebec. The station recently celebrated its 40 year anniversary of broadcasting.
